Titanium Sheets is 30% stronger % 50% lighter the other steels. It has excellent strength retention to 1,000 degrees. Titanium is alloyed with aluminium, iron, manganese, molybdenum & other metals to increase strength to withstand high temperatures & to lighten the resultant alloy.

• Specification: Must comply with ASTM B862 (Standard Specification for Titanium and Titanium Alloy Welded Pipe).
• Process: Formed from flat-rolled annealed strip and welded using automated GTAW (TIG) or PAW (Plasma Arc) processes.
• Shielding: Requires a stringent inert gas shield (Argon or Helium) on both the OD and ID to prevent oxygen embrittlement during welding.
• Testing: Typically undergoes Radiographic (X-ray) and Hydrostatic testing to ensure weld seam integrity.

• Tensile Strength: Minimum 895 MPa (130 ksi), nearly double that of Grade 2 Titanium.
• Yield Strength: Minimum 828 MPa (120 ksi).
• Density: Approximately 4.43 g/cm³ (roughly 56% the weight of steel).
• Corrosion Resistance: Exceptional in seawater, brackish water, and various chlorides.

• Motorsports: High-strength, ultra-lightweight exhaust systems and chassis components.
• Subsea Oil & Gas: High-pressure flowlines and riser components where weight reduction is critical.
• Chemical Processing: Heat exchangers where Grade 2 doesn't offer enough mechanical strength.
• Aerospace: High-pressure ducting and structural tubing.

• Grade 9 (Ti-3Al-2.5V): Very high strength and corrosion resistance. 

• Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V): The most widely used titanium alloy, known for its high strength, good corrosion resistance, and excellent weldability. 

• Standards: Commonly manufactured to ASTM B363 or ASME SB363 for buttweld fittings.
• Dimensions: Standard sizes range from 1/2" to 24" NB.
• Schedules: Available in various wall thicknesses, including SCH 5s, 10s, 40s, 80s, 160s, and XXS.
• Types:
  • Concentric Reducers: Cone-shaped with matching center lines, typically used in vertical piping.
  • Eccentric Reducers: One side remains flat to maintain a consistent top or bottom level, often used in horizontal lines to prevent air pockets or facilitate drainage.

• High Strength: Boasts a typical tensile strength of 897–1000 MPa (130–145 ksi).
• Corrosion Resistance: Excellent resistance to seawater, chlorides, and various acids.
• Weight Efficiency: Offers a high strength-to-weight ratio, being much lighter than steel while maintaining robustness.
• Temperature Range: Can withstand continuous service up to 400°C (750°F). 

• Aerospace: Used in aircraft hydraulic systems and engine components for weight reduction.
• Marine & Offshore: Ideal for seawater cooling systems and offshore oil platforms due to salt-corrosion resistance.
• Chemical Processing: Reliable for transporting aggressive media in reactors and heat exchangers.
• Oil & Gas: Utilized in downhole equipment and subsea pipelines where high pressure and corrosion are concerns.
